It’s Not Evian. It’s Free Delicious French Tap Water!
We love tap water and reusable bottles. So when a French Story of Stuff fan launched his own Better Bottle Project, we cheered.
Alexis de Tarade lives in Annecy, France, an hour’s drive from the Evian bottling facility on the shores of Lake Geneva. Annecy has its own beautiful lake and refreshing supply of clean, free tap water, but the town is littered with disposable plastic water bottles.
Alexis wanted to stem the flow of disposable bottles in his town and lake, so he launched a project to make glass bottles and distribute them free to residents and tourists, along with a map marked with places to refill the bottles with tap water for free.
