Smruti is responsible for planning, organizing and implementing the organization’s fundraising strategies, donor communications, and grants programs.
Prior to joining the Story of Stuff Project, Smruti led communications at Faith in Action East Bay, a federation of the largest faith-based organizing network in the U.S., at a time when the organization transitioned from serving the city of Oakland to the larger East Bay. She brings a decade of nonprofit experience — both out in the field and behind a screen — to Story of Stuff Project, with an emphasis on digital storytelling and network-building to drive systemic change.
